Principle of the Assay: An ENA Ouchterlony assay employs the basic principles of immunodiffusion by incorporating a tissue extract which contains antigens important in many autoimmune diseases. The assay has great utility as: a screening assay, a specific antibody identification assay, and a relative titering assay. The results can be read within 12-24 hours.
