Toxoplasma gondii is globally distributed and has complex life stages in felids (definitive host) and intermediate hosts. IgG antibodies arise after infection and typically persist for life, providing evidence of prior exposure. This assay detects Toxoplasma-specific IgG in human serum or plasma for use in research on prevalence, immune memory, and host-pathogen interaction.
