Helicobacter pylori is a spiral-shaped Gram-negative bacterium that colonizes the human stomach and is transmitted via oral–oral or fecal–oral routes. Chronic colonization with H. pylori induces an IgG antibody response. This assay detects H. pylori-specific IgG in human serum or plasma for research on prevalence, immune persistence, and population studies.
