SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION:

Rubella virus infection or immunization induces a durable IgG antibody response. IgG detection is used in research to assess immunity levels, vaccine efficacy, and long-term seroprotection. This assay qualitatively measures rubella-specific IgG in human serum or plasma for seroepidemiologic and immunologic investigations.
